Dead End images

The Dead End campaign launch

Ramblers CEO, Tom Franklin, travelled to Cornwall in July to meet Ramblers volunteers, Council Officers and the media to discuss the state of the footpaths in the area. A selection of photos are below and you can see more images on Flickr here

Many of these paths are in a state of disrepair because Cornwall Council do not have adequate funds; a problem which will be exacerbated with the current government cuts. Whilst Tom Franklin, Ramblers volunteers and were walking, members of the public came up to them and pointed out that the paths were in a poor state and that they were unable to access local amenities or recreational spots, such as a lovely beach.
