Red Tape Challenge

red tape challengeThe Government is seeking to cut many regulations that it sees as “red tape”. It is unclear what exactly this will include, but the ‘regulations’ in the firing line include such hard fought for and important legislation as the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 and the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, as well as the Statutory Instruments relating to coastal access and the creation of the South Downs National Park. The Ramblers feel that legislation that has given us a right to walk across our land cannot just be cut as red tape.
