Coventry Way

Coventry WayCircular from Meriden via Kenilworth, Brinklow and Bedworth
64km/40 miles
West Midlands

This route goes around Coventry rather than through it, following footpaths through the Warwickshire countryside with much of landscape, wildlife, historic and architectural interest.

The Way was first devised by local orienteers in the early 1970s as a route for challenge walkers and now hosts an annual one day challenge event. However it is also promoted as a leisure route which, since it is never more than 8km/5 miles from the city centre, can easily be walked in sections using public transport. It can also be reached from the city centre along the Coventry Canal.

Accessibility

Public Transport

Numerous buses radiating out from Coventry serve points along the route: contact Centro for bus information and their Coventry timetable booklet, and see also Birmingham and the Black Country. The only station near the Way is at Tile Hill, with services to Birmingham and Coventry, both of which have excellent onward connections: see West Midlands.
