Recreational Route:
YorkshireEbor Way
Helmsley to Ilkley 112 km/70 miles
EASY A gentle walk
connecting the Cleveland Way and Dales Way through the low-lying but
attractive countryside and woodland of the vale of York. The route runs
southwards to the historic city of York itself -- the name of the trail is
derived from York's Latin name of Eburacum -- then turns west via Tadcaster
and Wetherby to Ilkley. It was first developed in the 1970s by the Ebor
Acorn Rambling Club.
