A route primarily designed for horse riders as part of a network of long distance bridleway routes linking the Pennines with the Cotswolds and the Ridgeway. A significant part of the route uses surfaced country lanes, but there are also extensive off-road sections and walkers could avoid the roads by using nearby paths.
