Insurance

The Ramblers takes out insurance to cover Area and Group activities. The insurance covers activities from committee meetings to publicity events: however it is most relevant to led walks.

The cover this year contains some changes, so please ensure you read the guidance in full to ensure you have an understanding of the changes. Read the 09/10 guidance notes here.

One of the key changes is a new Incident Report Form. If an incident occurs on a Ramblers activity it must be recorded and an incident form sent to Ramblers central office. All related forms are available individually below.

Following consultation new policies have also been introduced to safeguard leaders and the organisation in relation to led walks. Personal Accident cover is now available to members undertaking practical work. Please see the guidance for further information.

Please note this civil liability insurance covers the activities of our Areas, Groups and staff. It does not cover the activities of individual members or affiliated walking clubs.
