Insurance

The Ramblers takes out insurance to cover Area and Group activities. The insurance covers activities ranging from committee meetings to publicity events, however it is most relevant to led walks.

The Ramblers provides civil liability insurance for Area and Group activities. The insurance covers activities from committee meetings to publicity events: however it is most relevant to led walks.

The new incident report form introduced last year has been revised slightly. If an incident occurs on a Ramblers activity it must be recorded and an incident form sent to Ramblers central office. The safeguarding policy, and associated guidance for Groups and Walk Leaders, has been revised during 09/10. The guide also sets out general good practice that Groups and Leaders are advised to be aware of. Further information on leading walks can be found here.

Please note this civil liability insurance covers the activities of our Areas, Groups and staff. It does not cover the activities of individual members or affiliated walking clubs.
