Our led walks programmes are one of the most extensive and visible areas of Ramblers' activity as well as being the main reason new members say they join the Ramblers. So we can provide better support to the volunteers who make these programmes such a success, it's important that we know who you are. We therefore ask all walk leaders and walk programme coordinators (sometimes known as walk secretaries) to register with us.
All registered walk leaders and coordinators with email addresses are sent our popular e-newsletter The Leader Column three times a year. This contains important information for walk leaders on national promotions, health and safety, insurance, training and support as well as inspiring and informative ideas and experiences from led walks volunteers. You can view back issues on the Walk Leader page but you will only get a copy by email if you register as a leader or coordinator.
If you plan to lead at least one walk for Ramblers in the next year, or to coordinate a Group or Area led walks programme, please register by emailing ledwalks@ramblers.org.uk.
Please include in the email the following information.
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your membership number
- Your Area and Group
- Whether you're a walk leader, Group programme coordinator or Area programme coordinator
