For Information: On the 25th August 2011 the Walking Environment Team will be running a workshop for members of the Ramblers who are actively involved in, or would like to be actively involved in, collaborative working with the Local Authority to keep Rights of Way open and accessible.
The day will give participants the opportunity to:
1. Meet others involved in practical path work or those who would like to be involved in this area of work.
2. Discuss issues that affect them when undertaking practical path work
3. Look at potential solutions for issues they have when undertaking practical path work
4. Take away practical information that will help them continue path work or start path work in their local area.
The day will have 3 different elements, including: sessions on different elements of practical path work, sharing ideas for running and overcoming issues as well as a field visit to see collaborative working between a Local Authority and the local Ramblers. The sessions will be run by members of the Ramblers who are actively involved in this type of work and have a wealth of experience in working with local authorities to carry out practical path work. The day will be held in Northamptonshire and all expenses will be covered by Central Office.
