The Big Volunteer Survey has now been run twice with the results being used to help us to better support volunteers at all levels of the organisation. This report is designed to show how volunteer attitudes and perceptions have changed over time.
The headlines from the survey are as follows:
• Number of Hours, on average, given by Ramblers Volunteers every week was around 4.5 hours.
• 73% of volunteers said they were satisfied with their overall experience as a volunteer compared to 62% in the previous year.
• Satisfaction with different parts of the organization has also risen with the figure for Central Office rising from 15% in the 09/10 survey to 23% in the 10/11 Survey.
• The number of people saying that they planned to continue volunteering with the Ramblers rose from 70% in 09/10 to 81% 10/11
You can download a copy of the detailed report from the survey as well as an outline of the results.
As this is an ongoing process and before the recommendations of the Volunteer Survey are updated we are keen to get further feedback from Ramblers Volunteers. We will be doing this through a number of different channels. Including two focussed surveys taking place over July and November, a number of focus groups taking place in September and we will also be running the big volunteer survey between December and January.
To give your feedback to the survey results you can complete the July Survey or get in touch with Ed Wilson, Volunteer Support and Development Officer.
