Website user survey launched

Especially relevant to: All volunteers Posted: 27 October 2011 For information and action. Volunteers are invited to take part in a user survey now live on the Ramblers website as part of our web development project.

We are currently working to create a new, more useful and more user-friendly website for our volunteers, members and web visitors.

One of the most important things we need to understand is what our current web users want out of the site. We have therefore created a short web survey which is already live and being promoted on the front page.

The survey is designed to capture the views of a wide range of users and visitors, including the general public. We're also keen to involve volunteers in the survey as they are often regular users of the website.

If you can spare a few minutes, please do complete the survey and share with us your views on what we could be doing to improve the site. Please answer the survey as an individual, not on behalf of your Area or Group committee.

Respond to the survey here.

We are planning to analyse the first results from the survey on 14 November 2011 so it would be particularly useful if you could complete it before that date. However the survey will remain online after that date and we will continue to take account of responses submitted later.

Please also pass on this invitation both to other volunteers and to others who may visit the Ramblers site.

Note that the survey is part of our long term web development project and this will not be the only opportunity for you as a volunteer and your Area and Group to contribute to this process. There will be a more detailed consultation with Areas and Groups at a later stage.

Meanwhile, if you're interested in becoming more involved in the web development project as a volunteer, you could consider applying to join our Web Development Advisory Panel. Read more about joining the panel.

If you have any questions or comments about the web development project, please email des.demoor@ramblers.org.uk.
