RSS feeds

The Volunteer Section news feed is now live. Please visit the News and Updates page and click on the orange RSS icon to subscribe to this feed. (If this doesn't work it may be that your Internet browser is too old to support news feeds).

News feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content. You can get the latest headlines and information in one place, as soon as it's published, without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from.

Feeds are also known as RSS. There is some discussion as to what RSS stands for, but most people plump for 'Really Simple Syndication'. In essence, the feeds themselves are just web pages, designed to be read by computers rather than people.

There are various options for subscribing to news feeds. More information can be found on the BBC website.

RSS feeds are now available on the Ramblers Volunteer Section.
