Walk4Life Day -- Sunday 25 September 2011
The Ramblers is proud to support Walk4Life Day 2011 in England and Wales, demostrating that walking is a great way to start clocking up those 150 active minutes a week we should all be doing to stay fit and healthy. Almost everyone can do it, anywhere, at any time, and best of all it's free.
Look out for Walk4Life Day events across England and Wales, including seven major events organised by the Ramblers in Birmingham, Cardiff, Durham, London, Manchester, Sheffield and Swindon.

Walk4Life Day is part of the Department of Health’s (DH) Change4Life campaign to encourage families and adults to eat well, move more and live longer, by making small lifestyle changes that add up to big health benefits.

Other ways to get walking
Walking is a great way for everyone to be up and about and a great way for families to have fun together. In fact, there’s probably no easier way of being active outdoors!
To help you get more active, all Ramblers led walks of 8km/5 miles or less listed on our Group Walks Finder are highlighted with the Walk4Life and Active Nation brands.

Please check walk details carefully to find out about pace and surroundings. While most of these walks are easy walks, a few may be in more challenging terrain or at a faster pace.
