South West Coast Path

One Coast For All

The England Coast Path will join up with the Wales Coast Path and access to Scotland's coast to form a continuous route around Britain's coast.

Wales for Walking

Illtyd Common

Wouldn’t it be great if Wales was the best country in the world for walkers? We’re calling on the Welsh Government to make it happen.

Don't Lose Your Way

Bridleway

In 2026, any path that isn't on the map will be left of it. These are historic footpaths that have been walked by our grandparents and great-grandparents. They used them to go to market, to walk to church, to visit their relatives. Working with landowners and councils, we've come up with plans to make it easier to add paths to the map. We are now pushing Government to accept the proposals.

Our report uncovers the extent of the savage cuts to footpath budgets across England.

Branch Out: Campaign for woodland walking

Branch Out

A walk in the woods is one of life’s simple pleasures. We would like to see more woodland opened up for walkers.

Hit the Election Trail: Vote for a walking Britain

The 2015 general election provides an opportunity for politicians from all parties to support walking and demonstrate their commitment to promoting active, healthy lifestyles, protecting the places where people walk and improving access to the outdoors.
