Park in the road in the village, (Explorer 144, grid ref SU462537), near the telephone kiosk or at the church opposite. Please do not park in front of the lych-gate. This walk was suggested in Out and About magazine.

Watership Down and Ecchinswell: The walk begins at the White Hill car park, grid ref SU516565, and is a circular route using the Wayfarers Walk to pass through Sydmonton to Ecchinswell, where an early pub lunch is possible at the Royal Oak, or bring a picnic. We will continue through Kingsclere before returning to White Hill. 10 miles

A circular walk from Kintbury passing through Inkpen Common; Hell Corner and Hamstead Marshall; return via the K & A towpath. Park at the Dundas Arms, where lunch is planned at the end of the walk, grid ref SU385671. For those not using the pub, alternative parking is available on the opposite side of the road to the railway station.

Meet at Kintbury Lock, grid ref SU386672, (park at the lock or in the village centre). From the lock we will walk west along the canal, then cross the bridge southwards to the church, across the High Street and towards Titcomb, Fox Hill, Holt Lodge, Kintbury Holt Farm and Irish Hill, before returning along the canal.

South Hayling: Could anyone requiring a lift please contact the Programme Secretary. Please text the leader before leaving the Newbury area. Park in the Car Park in West Town by the start of the Hayling Billy trail (to the west side of the theatre) on Hayling Island, grid ref SZ709998, PO11 0EH (125 miles round trip from Newbury), and meet the leader for walk start at 10:00 am. The walk includes a stop in a café for morning coffee and then goes along the beach. Pub or café lunch at Eastoke. Return via Mengham. Minimal height gain. 10 miles

Meet in the East Garston Village Hall/Social Club car park, grid ref SU364768. If there isn't enough parking space here, please park considerately elsewhere in the village. The route of this fairly hilly downland walk follows the Lambourn Valley Way to Eastbury before heading north across Eastbury Fields to Eastbury Grange, up to Washmore Hill and then returning via East Garston Down.

This is a long and fast walk as requested by the group to see if we want to stretch ourselves a bit more! The distance is 13.2 miles and we will be looking to maintain an average speed of greater than 3mph excluding the stops. This is not difficult provided we maintain a consistent pace.
The walk begins in Pangbourne at the car park just off Thames Avenue, RG8 7BY / SU637766. The walk goes north across the Thames through Whitchurch-on-Thames going east until East Lodge, where we turn north up through Bottom Wood picking up the Chiltern Way west via Whitchurch Hill, Combe End Farm, Great Chalk Wood and into Goring, where we will stop for lunch at the Catherine Wheel PH, a distance of about 8.5 miles. After lunch we will go west to pick up the Thames tow path, following it back to Whitchurch-on-Thames and Pangbourne. 13.2 miles
