7+ mile linear to Stratford Station (Jubilee and Central Lines and London Overground, Zone3). A relaxed walk over level terrain with several drop-out points at bus stops. We start along the Regent’s Canal and then go via London Fields and Well Street Common (or continue along the canal if it is a large group, to avoid spilling onto the road) to Victoria Park (set up as a major public space for the poor and which has had a lot of improvements over recent years) and the Olympic Park (looking fantastic with legacy works and improvements all the time). Lunch stop at a café in Victoria Park or the Olympic Park or bring your own food, if you prefer. The length of the walk will depend upon what people want to do on the day and the weather: the Olympic Park has a lot to see and the planting should still be looking glorious. We can also have a look at the Bow-Back Rivers network. Map: E 173/162, London A-Z.
