From Wardington across fields to Croperdy, then along a stretch of the Oxford Canal and through forests and farms to the village of Chalcombe. We will stop at the George and Dragon Pub before heading back to Wardington. This is a variation of the walk at the end of January, hopefully with better weather! For those that wish to take the train or do not have access to a vehicle, contact Dan by the day prior. A lift may be possible from Banbury Station at 9.45am. Train from Birmingham Moor St arrives at 9.39am.

After lunch we'll visit Canons Ashby, ancestral home of the Dryden family, before returning to the start. We pass through Austy Wood, Langley, Kington and along the Stratford Canal. We will walk through landscapes of streams and wooded hills, and, if we are lucky, see hedgerows full of wild flowers. At the end, we will stop for a drink in the cafe (also sells alcohol) at Yew Tree Farm Shopping Village, where there are plenty of shops to explore. They offer everything from exotic teas to beauty treatments and a farm shop. Wootton Wawen train station is about 20 - 30 minutes’ walk away from the start point. A lift may be possible from Solihull station.

Starting from Hartshill Country Park, this walk will take us cross-country towards the village of Astley, home of Astley Castle. From there, we will return to the start point via Oakridge golf course and Church End, with an opportunity for good views of the Ansley rail tunnel on the way.

A 12-mile circuit of the Malvern Hills, including the highest point, the Worcestershire Beacon (1,395 ft). There are stunning views (I hope) into Wales and across the Worcestershire plain. There are some steep sections along the trails, but all the better views. Car share available from Warwick train station – contact Rachel by the day before.

This walk starts with a look at the mound and earthworks of the long-disappeared castle at Brinklow before we move onto the Oxfordshire Canal. From there, we will visit Little Lawford, Long Lawford and the attractive Great Lawford, before returning back to Brinklow via King's Newnham. Optional visit to the Bulls Head afterwards.

Passing from a large flat area up onto the surrounding ridges, where there are fine views, with a wonderful stretch through the deer park of Shuckburgh Hall. Possible pub stop at the end.
