Help us safeguard access to Britain’s coastline for future generations

Did you know that in England and Wales, there is no general right to walk along the coast and on beaches?

Freedom to Roam countryside

With the publication of the Draft Marine Bill this is set to change. The Bill includes proposals to give the public open access to areas such as beaches, foreshore and cliff tops. The Ramblers’ Association believes that as an island nation the coastline is part of our heritage for which people of all walks of life have an affinity. We are campaigning for a legal right of access to safeguard our coastline and beaches for future generations.
