Making a provision for the Ramblers' in your will helps us to protect the countryside for future generations. In your memory, we will work to foster a deeper knowledge, respect and love of our beautiful green spaces.
Legacies help ensure that we are able to continue our vital work. We are enormously reliant on the generosity of our members and supporters.
Do you have the will to help us?
Many people understandably find it difficult to think about what will happen when they die. And too often, this results in a failure to make the necessary arrangements.
One of the most important preparations you can make is to ensure that you have an up-to-date will. But there is a perception that this is an expensive and complicated chore.
In fact, the real cost could lie in not having a will – and keeping it up-to-date. In the worst cases, your entire estate would revert to government coffers.
The reality is that making a will is simple, easy to arrange and needn’t be costly. And what's more, gifts to charity are Inheritance Tax free, so leaving a gift to the Ramblers could reduce the tax payable on your estate.
So for your sake, and ours, don't put it off.
It's your chance to change things for good...
Above all, your will is your chance to shape the world you leave behind…and this is what makes writing a will such a uniquely exciting and enriching opportunity.
Once you have provided for your loved ones, a gift to the Ramblers is the ideal way to play a lasting part in ensuring that the places you have walked continue to be protected so that future generations will be able to enrich their lives through walking and the countryside, as you have during your lifetime.
We are aware that walking can give someone a new lease of life and we are passionate about spreading this message as far as we possibly can. Legacy gifts help us play a role in solving some of society's most pressing health problems, through the promotion of walking and an active lifestyle.
Simple pleasures...
We exist to promote and protect those things which make walking such a delight; peace and quiet, fresh air, beautiful landscapes, the joy of sharing a day outdoors with a friend or loved one. We are the only charity dedicated to working in the interests of walkers; a job we have invested in for over 7 decades.
I hope if, and when the time is right for you to include a legacy in your will, you will remember our charity...
