The Festival of Winter Walks has been running for 30 years and is an opportunity to get more people walking with us and exploring Britain’s wintry landscapes. This year’s festival will run from Saturday 23 December to Sunday 7 January and include Ramblers group walks, health walks and routes
Whatever your age or ability there’s a walk for you. We’ve got fun festive-themed walks that the little ones will love; leisurely strolls under 5 miles for people new to walking; and longer walks for those that want more of a challenge over the Christmas break. For those of you who may be short on time or want a gentler stroll, why not join a health walk?
Walks take place across England, Scotland and Wales, from cities to the coast and from parkland to country fields. All our walks are led by experienced volunteers.
If you don’t want to join a group walk, you can still get involved. Find your own winter walk with Ramblers Routes – our online library of over 2,750 walking routes. There’s everything from invigorating coastal walks to gentle strolls along country lanes, with printable, easy-to-read maps and simple route directions.
More information will follow soon on the exciting ways you can get involved this winter.
