First section of walk follows part of the Greensand Ridge, taking in several of the highest hills in Surrey and some great views. We then descend through woods and fields, passing through the picturesque village of Shere shortly before the end of the walk. Bring a packed lunch. Pub stop at end.

Travel: Take 9:25 from London Victoria (9:32 Clapham Junction), arr. Holmwood 10:29. Buy return to Holmwood. Single from Gomshall-Dorking may be needed for first part of journey back.
