On this walk we will be searching out the homes of Chelsea’s famous past residents whose influence has endured till today. Pub stop at the end, looking wistful by Chelsea Embankment optional.

A lovely walk through Surrey countryside starting and finishing along the river Wey and taking in part of the North Downs. We’ll stop and take a look at the beautiful Watt’s Chapel in Compton. Likely to be muddy. Bring a packed lunch. Possible pub for drinks only on route. Pub at end.

We traverse the steep chalk slopes that border north Hertfordshire and stroll though pleasant fields, woodland and country villages. Bring a packed lunch - pub en route just for drinks. Wine bar (with bottled beers, tapas and pizzas) at the end.

Catch some bracing sea air along the Thames estuary, passing the interesting Victorian fort at Cliffe. The low tide should reveal the remains of early underwater naval technology, as well as the Hans Egede shipwreck. Lunch pub stop for drinks. Trains from Higham every 30 minutes.
Travel: Take the 10.18 train from London Bridge arrives Gravesend 11.06. Buy a return ticket to Higham.

Exploring some lovely countryside and woodland around Bucklebury (home of Kate and Pippa Middleton and family) and its common. There will be a lunchstop around 1.30-2pm. We'll finish in time for the 17:57 train, though there is a lovely pub with food by the canal and station for those who'd like to stay longer.
Travel: Catch the 10:57 from London Paddington, changing at Reading (arr: 11:31, depart 11:45) arriving Thatcham at 12:01. Buy a return to Thatcham.

This walk will move between Tring and Wendover and back, mainly about distance than going for large ascents (total 550m). Please bring a packed lunch.
A drop out point is available at 10 miles (Wendover) for those looking for a FAST morning walk (eta 1pm), and at 16 miles at Tring before the group embarks on a final loop.
