(Estimated finish time: 14:45)
Moderate 8.5 miles / 13.7 km
Distance 8.5 miles
One moderate hill at start of walk
Starting near Claverton, this walk takes us through some stunning views of the very southern end of the Cotswolds and continues down and through Bath city centre itself with views over the Avon valley. We also walk along the Kennet and Avon canal to complete this walk. Pub will be available a short drive from the end of walk and will be on the route home for most people.
Please bring a packed lunch and wear good footwear as the start is hilly.
Car sharing recommended!
On the A36 (Warminster Road) as you leave Bath towards Claverton, there is a large layby on the left as you go up the hill. Also, please be aware of the Toll bridge (70p) if you go via Mill Lane (shortest route).
