Blaenau Ffestiniog to Tan-y-bwlch
Thursday, 7 December 2017
Start time: 9:45
Moderate 7 miles / 11.3 km
This is a fairly steady downhill linear walk through the beautiful Vale of Ffestiniog, starting with a bus journey. The route roughly follows the Ffestiniog Railway line, passing the railway station at Dduallt where the line famously loops over itself to rise to a higher level. We walk round the picturesque Llyn Mair passing the inlet to Plas Tanybwlch’s hydro power station. The walk finishes at The Oakeley Arms where we may be able to have coffee/tea.
