Autumnal Colours in Richmond Park
Sunday, 19 November 2017
Start time: 10:30
Moderate 10 miles / 16.1 km
From the site of Richmond Palace beside the river, we will amble through the Park, rich in native and exotic trees, many providing a fine display of autumn foliage. In the distance there are striking views of some iconic City buildings. We'll stop for lunch in the Isabella Plantation where the winter-flowering heathers are already in bloom. Leaving by Roehampton Gate we'll regain the riverside and cross the river at Barnes. Tea in Chiswick Park awaits us. Then, crossing bustling Chiswick High Rd, we'll finish at Turnham Green.
Meet in front of the station.
