The walk passes through parts of 4 National Trust commons. The paths have exceptional views over the Woodchester and Golden Valleys. Starting in Minchinhampton the walk continues through the pretty village of Box, across Minchinhampton Common, skirting Pinfarthings and Amberley to Rodborough Common. Then progress is made above the Golden Valley through Bowham and Besbury Common via picturesque hamlets steeped in history from the area's flourishing woollen industry times. Two refreshment stops.
