Leisurely 8 miles / 12.9 km
Join us to see in the New Year (only a couple of weeks late) and take care of those resolutions! The walk will take us along stretches of beautiful ancient lanes which criss-cross this area of the Surrey Hills. We will be stopping for a packed lunch just outside Peaslake before heading back to Shere and retiring to a local pub (or possibly the Dabbling Duck cafe if there's room).
We will be meeting at the car park behind the village hall - the entrance is in Upper Street, just to the west of the junction with middle street. You will see 2 driveways next to each other - take the right-hand one which looks into a field, and go right again into the car park.
Note: We tend to get high numbers for this walk, and last year we pretty much maxed out this car park. If you can't find a space, turn left out of the car park, keep going east along Gomshall Lane and look for the Shere Surgery and Dispensary on the right. Their car park is free to use on Sundays.
Also please car share if you're able to.
