This is a linear walk
The second instalment of this long distance route from Bradford-on-Avon to Portishead is a walk from Bath to Bristol. Catch the 09.00 train from Temple Meads to Bath Spa having bought a single ticket. The leader will be on the platform having caught the train in from Sea Mills.
After the initial climb to Kelston Round Hill from Bath, there is little more ascent as the route follows attractive paths through North Stoke and Bitton to reach the lunch stop in Keynsham. Shortly after, we leave the Avon to head through woodland and across fields to reach Hanham Court. Our route then returns to the banks of the river which is followed to Conham. The day’s second climb takes us to the top of Troopers Hill before visiting an interesting cemetery and the Netham. We then follow the Feeder, mainly on a footpath, to reach Temple Meads.
