Start time: 10:30
(Estimated finish time: 12:30)
Leisurely 3.3 miles / 5.3 km
On the 13/01 the Ramblers group’s from Lothian’s and Borders Area will meet for their AGM. The Edinburgh Family walks group are part of the Edinburgh Ramblers so our walk will be integrated in a bigger program that will also include some presentations.
This is going to be different from our usual walks:
For starters it’s a morning walk, starting at 10:30, after a nice breakfast offered by the Edinburgh Ramblers from 10:00 with tea/coffee and biscuits.
It's a beautiful circular walk, around 5 km / 3,2 miles long, with wonderful views of the city in rough and off road paths so not suitable for buggies. We saw horses, sheeps and birds of prey during the reccie, so hopefully they will be there again. Please be mindful of the winter weather, so snow and ice are to be expected and some mud too. Warm and waterproof clothes are the best option as well as boots. A light lunch will be available from 1 pm with soup, sandwiches, tea/coffee and water. (Please bring your own mug for the soup and refreshments so that we do our share on reducing waste.)
In order to guarantee food for everyone, please sign up as soon as possible, either by email or SMS to the contacts that can be found below. Or sign up at https://www.meetup.com/edinburghramblers-familywalks/events/245597826/
