We will be walking from George Washington's ancestral home, Washington Old Hall, to Beamish which is section 7 of the new Heritage Way. Our walk is just days before the official opening ceremony at Causey Arch. (This will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday 31st May. John Grundy will be doing the honours and tea and cake will be available FREE for all walkers at the Causey Arch tearooms)
Our starting point of this section is Washington Old Hall and the finish point is The Shepherd and Shepherdess Inn at Beamish. Transport will be arranged back to the start.
