This is a lovely walk in a beautiful part of Worcestershire. It takes in heathland, woodland, pasture, a babbling brook and the River Severn - as well as providing an opportunity to lunch or picnic in the Georgian market town of Bewdley. The walk also passes a series of rock houses carved into a sandstone cliff.
The walk starts in the Habberley Valley, a local beauty spot and nature reserve near Kidderminster, which is well worth exploring in its own right. It then follows attractive tracks and footpaths down to Bewdley, affording impressive views across the Severn Valley and the Wyre Forest. After lunch and a toilet break in Bewdley, we will follow the eastern bank of the Severn for about 2 miles. There is then a short climb towards Trimpley and a final descent back into the Habberley Valley.
The walk has two short climbs but is otherwise fairly straightforward.
