**CHANGE TO TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS** Battersea to Carshalton via The Thames Path and Wandle Trail

Take the 10.09 rail replacement bus service from Victoria, arriving Battersea Park Station 10.19. Please leave extra time to find out where the bus departs from at Victoria. Passing through Battersea Park we pick up the Thames Path for a couple of miles to the confluence with the River Wandle. After negotiating some busy roads in Wandsworth, we will follow the Wandle Trail to one of its sources in Carshalton. The riverside path passes through various parks with some occasional road walking in between. There will be a lunch stop at Merton Abbey Mills where there is a pub and cafes, but please bring a packed lunch, Pub stop near station at end. Two trains an hour going back to Blackfriars, Southern services are only going as far as Clapham Junction that day.
Terrain: Completely flat, mainly tarmac paths and pavement. Light walking shoes or trainers should suffice.
