Meet Manningtree railway station car park (£3 fee) (grid TM 095 323 postcode CO11 2LH) to catch a train at about 09:30 to Harwich Town & walk back along the estuary. Lunch – picnic on banks of Stour followed by SHORT pub stop at The Strangers Home, just for drinks. Enjoy the coastal scenery and wildlife, stunning views of the Stour. Path follows part of the Essex Way.
Early arrivals at Manningtree Station will have time to enjoy the buffet.
