Joint walk with Southbank group
13 miles, moderate pace, 1 steep hill up Ivinghoe Beacon and 2 fairly steep hills afterwards. (Those who do not wish to climb can wait at bottom for 20 minutes or more – you can admire the wild flowers in the fields in the meantime.) Can be muddy after heavy rain
Route: Ridgeway – Pitstone Hill – Ivinghoe Beacon – Ringshall Coppice – skirt round Donkey Wood – Ringshall Coppice – Little Gaddesden – Flat Isley (admiring bluebells, hopefully) – Bridgewater Monument (possible quick tea stop) Albury Common – Berkhamsted Common - Berkhamsted
Attractions: Best bluebells in the South at Flat Isley and Donkey Wood. Spring wild flowers. Bring your cameras
Food: Pub / picnic by War Monument at Little Gaddesden
Drop-out points: Taxi to station from Little Gaddesden or Bridgewater Monument
