Strenuous 13 miles / 20.9 km
A strenuous circular walk of approx 13 miles from The Deri Inn, north Cardiff, which takes us up to the Wenalt, through the 'Bluebell Woods' and on to Cwm Nofydd woods of Rhiwbina Hill, where the bluebells and wild garlic should be in full bloom. From there we will take the path leading to the 'Fairy Castle'/ Castle Coch where we will join the Taff Trail heading north until we reach the Glamorgan Ridgeway walk, which is a steep climb but on a clear day will reward us with stunning 360 degree aerial views over Cardiff, Steep Holme, Flat Holme and the Bristol Channel to the south, and Upper Boat, Gilfach Goch and the Brecon Beacons to the north. The rideway walk takes us to Caerphilly Mountain, and from there back to the beautiful "Bluebell Woods".
