This spectacular glacial valley is one of the highlights in the North Pennines AONB.
The walk begins from the pretty village of Dufton in the Eden Valley, from there we head to Harbour Flatt then start to climb Middletongue Crag, we follow the Beck up to the boulder field then climb up the Nick.
Great views of the U-shaped glacial valley can be seen from the top. We then follow the Pennine Way down an old miners' track back to Dufton.
It is quite a steep and challenging climb but the footpaths are generally good for most of the walk.
Ascent 1,608ft (490 metres)
