"Three Peaks Walk" Horton-in-Ribblesdale CP 24 mls No Dogs
Saturday, 28 April 2018
Start time: 7:30
Strenuous 24 miles / 38.6 km
The walk will start by the red phone box outside the main car park which is pay and display there is cheaper parking behind the Golden Lion pub and some roadside parking but this is very limited.
The walk is 24.5 miles with 4800 feet of accent .There will be an opportunity to leave water, food etc at approximately the half way point at the bottom of Whernside (thanks to Mike and Kay Pell). There is no public transport back to Horton along the route so if for any reason anyone drops out we will have to try and sort a lift on the day but it may mean a long wait. Unfortunately the 3 Peaks Fell Race is on the same day as our walk with 400 runners but does not start until 10/30 hopefully it will not affect us too much with regards to parking etc.
