Tuesday C walk from Redesmere, 10.30am ,1 May 2018
This is a pleasant walk of about 5.8 miles in flat/undulating Cheshire countryside, starting at Redesmere. There is car parking on the roadside and you can feed the ducks or maybe buy a Granelli’s ice cream. We shall be walking on lanes, tracks and fields, through farms and past one or two Cheshire mansions. No dogs please as there may be cattle with young on the route.
I had hoped this would be a bluebell walk but, because of the cold spring, the flower buds were barely visible on my mid-April reccie, so this is unlikely – but you never know and it should be a pretty spring walk anyway.
There will have to be a short section on the main road (there is a pavement) as we can’t walk on land belonging to Capesthorne Hall. Mud rating about 6/10, depending on the weather in the preceding week.
All welcome for lunch at the Moss Rose in Alderley Edge.
