Tilbury to Coalhouse Fort

Moderate 11 miles / 17.7 km
11 mile circular walk starting from East Tilbury station at 11am . Route takes in the village of West Tilbury and on to historic Tilbury Fort. Then follows the Thames Path to Coalhouse Fort and nature reserve.
There is no station car park but parking is quite easy in nearby roads. Trains from London arrive at 10.49 and from Southend at 11.01. I will wait for the Southend train before setting off.
Dogs are permitted on our walks at the leader's discretion. However they must be well behaved and kept on a lead.Please read the Ramblers dog walking code on the Ramblers website.
Be prepared ! Ensure that you wear walking boots/shoes, trainers can be worn in summer months. Clothing suitable for the weather conditions must be worn. Bring drinking water and food with you, if you're unsure what else to bring please ask.
