Start time: 13:00
(Estimated finish time: 16:00)
Leisurely 5.5 miles / 8.9 km
From the Whip Inn we head past the Windmill and out across the fields following the Chiltern Way to Lily Bank Farm. We continue to head NE into the woods and then bear W when we reach Redland End, eventually leaving the woods and heading out into the fields to Brimmers Farm. From Brimmers Road we head down to Pyrtle Spring and then up briefly onto the Ridgeway and across to Shootacre Corner. Again we cross fields and loop around back into Loosely Row and up the hill to our start point at The Whip Inn.
There is a fairly steep descent through the woods near the beginning (with steps) and a gradual climb back up to the finish, most of the rest of the walk is fairly flat with a few undulations. It is very muddy in places however, as you might expect at this time of year. We will stop for a drink/snack break about half way.
We will aim to rendezvous at the Whip Inn by 4pm with the other CWW groups to enjoy a drink and a chat.
Leisurely pace and there will be some pauses to do litter picking (gloves and refuse bags will be provided), snipping back overgrown vegetation (please bring secateurs) and also for reporting any path issues (please load Ramblers PathWatch app on your smartphone).
In front of The Whip Inn.
Parking: Pink Road opposite the Whip Inn or down Loosley Hill.
