Joint Walk with Mid-Berkshire Ramblers
After meeting our Rambler friends at Bath, we will follow the River Avon Trail for a short distance before heading for the iconic Pultney Bridge. We will then head up Widcombe Hill to pick up the footpath to Sham Castle. We follow the escarpment to the NE descending to Bathampton and along the road to the toll bridge and riverside path to Batheaston. We climb Little Solsbury Hill that will hopefully provide a fine view of Bath before descending to Upper Swainswick, heading for Woolley and a climb to Lansdown where we will have lunch. After lunch, we follow the Cotswold Way back to Bath, visiting the Royal Crescent and The Circus on the return to the Coach Park.
Give us a try!
This is one of hundreds of Ramblers group walks for all ages and abilities every week - all led by our experienced walk leaders.
You’re welcome to join us on any of our walks to see if the Ramblers is for you. Then, once you’ve enjoyed the views, fun, exhilaration and good company, it’s just a case of becoming a member.
Do make sure you're fit enough and have the right footwear and clothing for the walk you want to do, though. You can contact the group or leader if in doubt.
