Travel: Meet at the Sainsbury Wing National Gallery Trafalgar Square Entrance. The nearest stations to the start point are Charing Cross (Zone 1: national rail, Northern Line Charing Cross Branch and Bakerloo Line) or Leicester Square (Zone 1: Piccadilly Line and Northern Line Charing Cross Branch). Blackfriars Station at the end is also Zone 1 (national rail and Circle and District Lines).
While Monet is more often associated with landscapes, seascapes and gardens, he also painted the architecture of his time including in London. From the start point we walk down to the River Thames and cross the Millenium Bridge.
