Group name: Manchester Coach Rambles
This group is a part of Greater Manchester & High Peak Area.
Our groups help local people enjoy walking and protect the places we all love to walk. Most groups organise regular walks led by local experts – a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness. You’re very welcome to try walking with us, or to get involved in looking after paths and green spaces and opening up new places to explore.
Since 2007 The Manchester Coach Rambles Group run coach excursions fortnightly on Sunday all throughout the year to popular destinations in the 5 National Parks - Lake District, North Yorks Moors, Yorkshire Dales, Snowdonia and Peak District- and to areas of outstanding natural beauty notably The Forest of Bowland and Shropshire.
At each destination there are up to 4 walks led by volunteer walk leaders:-
A walk- up to 15 miles
B walk- up to 12 miles
C walk-up to 10 miles
D walk up to 7 miles
There is no extra cost to the very competitive price of the coach ticket to join these led walks. It is not compulsory to join the led walks. Members can do their own private walks at the destination but must ensure that they return to the coach at the appointed time of departure. Members unable to return to the coach at the appointed time of departure must contact Brenda Parkinson on 07876076717.
Coach leaves Chorlton Street, opposite Chorlton Coach Station at 8.50am prompt.
Seats must be booked in advance from Brenda Parkinson, tel no 0161 736 8710 not later than the Monday before the event. For enquiries about coach excursions and tickets please contact Brenda Parkinson, tel no 0161 736 8710
