Our groups help local people enjoy walking and protect the places we all love to walk. Most groups organise regular walks led by local experts – a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness. You’re very welcome to try walking with us, or to get involved in looking after paths and green spaces and opening up new places to explore.

New Mills and District Ramblers is a friendly, welcoming group that walks on Sundays, some Saturdays and Wednesdays. Walks to suit everyone take place mostly in the White and Dark Peak areas of Derbyshire and, in summer, further afield. On the Wednesday walks there is a shorter route, usually around 6 miles. Saturday walks are longer and Sunday walks are usually 10 miles plus.  There are occasional social events such as week ends away, barbecues, outings and occassional illustrated talks. Members report on path problems and try to get action for all walkers. For further information about the group please visit www.newmillsramblers.co.uk
