Our areas help local people enjoy walking and protect the places we all love to walk. Areas help look after paths and green spaces, open up new places to explore and act as the leading voice on walking matters near you. They also support our local groups to organise regular walks led by local experts – a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness.
East Herts Ramblers is now in its 34th year and some of our founder members are still walking with us regularly - testament to the health benefits of walking and the friendliness of our Group.

The Finchley and Hornsey Ramblers Group is based in North London but we have such wonderful countryside around us that we walk anywhere between the Chilterns in the West through to Essex in the East, not forgetting the captivating byways of London ...

Our groups help local people enjoy walking and protect the places we all love to walk. Most groups organise regular walks led by local experts – a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness.
We lead a long and a short walk each weekend, including some short and easy and some mid-week walks, mainly in Hertfordshire, the Chilterns and London. We welcome walkers of all ages and experience.
We welcome new people to try our group Tues and Thurs mornings and all day Sundays. A pub at the end of a walk and in the middle on Sundays is for those interested. We also have outings and socials
We are an active sociable group who put on walks every weekend usually alternative Saturdays and Sundays and a shorter midweek walk once every three weeks. Car sharing from Watford is encouraged.
