Areas help look after paths and green spaces, open up new places to explore and act as the leading voice on walking matters near you. They also support our local groups to organise regular walks led by local experts – a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness.

Longer walks usually involve a pub stop and somewhere to picnic for an hour and we aim to finish between 3:30 and 4:30pm.

East Kent Walking Group 20s-50s is a group specifically for younger people within Kent Area of the Ramblers. We are a friendly and welcoming group made up of couples and singles.
Maidstone group helps those who enjoy walking to explore the Kent countryside and beyond. Our walk leaders provide an interesting and varied programme of walks throughout the year.
We are a friendly group that runs up to 3 walks on Wednesdays and usually 1 on Sundays. We regularly stop for a pub lunch on our walks. We run group holidays, map reading courses and picnics, etc.
Everyone is welcome to join us on our organised walks. Many members of other Ramblers groups walk with us, and non-members also come along - we hope that after 2 or 3 walks you'll want to join!
