Group name: Medway
This group is a part of Kent Area.
Our activities include:
Our friendly group has over 300 members who live in the Medway area and the western end of Swale. Our rambles are mostly in the North and West areas of Kent and are usually between four and ten miles long. You will receive a warm welcome if you join us. We are a very chatty group.
Our volunteer leaders offer a variety of walks from which you are certain to find something that appeals in terms of distance, start point or difficulty (Mostly they are easy!). The majority of our walks start on Sunday mornings with some additional rambles on Wednesdays and occassional evening rambles when the evenings are lighter. Whilst most of our walks are circular we also have linear walks using public transport to return to the start.
In addition, we get together for social events. We have recently enjoyed Barn Dances, Quizzes, Cream Teas, Sunday Lunches and Crazy Cricket with a Barbeque! We have an annual week long walking holiday in September with several walks each day of different lengths to suit different tastes and abilities. We also organise occasional weekend walking breaks.
We would be pleased for you to try walking with us. Just choose a walk, turn up at the start point at least ten minutes before the walk is due to start and make yourself known to the walk leader who you will recognise as they will be holding a signing in sheet. You will be made most welcome. For further information contact Graham on the above number or visit our website mentioned above.
