Sevenoaks

Group name: Sevenoaks

This group is a part of Kent Area.

Our groups help local people enjoy walking and protect the places we all love to walk. Most groups organise regular walks led by local experts – a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness. You’re very welcome to try walking with us, or to get involved in looking after paths and green spaces and opening up new places to explore.

Walk with Sevenoaks Ramblers

Everyone is welcome to join us on our organised walks. Many members of other Ramblers groups walk with us, and non-members also come along - we hope that after 2 or 3 walks you'll want to join!

Walks are planned and led by our members and details can be found in our online programme. We enjoy sharing our beautiful countryside, our favourite lunch spots and our very best walks with everyone who can come.

Shorter walks are usually more local to Sevenoaks, longer ones may range further away. There are two long lines of hills near here, the North Downs and the Greensand Ridge. These offer woodland walking and very different flowers, as well as some fine, far-reaching views as a reward for climbing the hillside.

Walks vary in length and difficulty. In this area just about every walk will have a number of stiles. Everyone should be capable of completing the planned walk and must be suitably clothed and shod. Children and dogs are welcome on many of the walks (please check the programme) but remain the responsibility of their "owners".

If you are new to walking you'll be very welcome to join us . There's lots of good advice available on the Ramblers main pages.
