The Northumbria Walking Group is a group of people who like to go out walking. The group is primarily for people who are in their 20's and 30's but many members are in their 40's and early 50's

We are based in Newcastle but also cover Durham, Sunderland and Northumberland. Members lead walks most weekends in the beautiful local area, to places such as Hadrian's Wall, the Cheviots, the Northumberland coast, Simonside, the Tyne valley etc. We also organise weekends away to the Lake District, Peak District, Yorkshire Dales etc and occasional overseas holidays

Walks range from short, 5-8 mile easy rambles to longer, 11-16 mile full-day hill walks.

Travel to the walks is usually by car, sharing when practical, with occasional walks organsied around public transport.

Social events include regular pub nights and meals out.
