Practical path work
Please check our web site, http://www.sheffieldramblers.org, for up to date walk information. Details of any new walks or changes to walks are immediately available on our web site. Information in Walks Finder is updated as soon as we can but may not be fully up to date.
The Sheffield Group has walks on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays plus easy 'Shorter Walks' on some Thursdays and Saturdays. Except for coach rambles almost all use public transport and bus or train details are given in the walk description. People traveling by car are welcome to join the group at the start of the walk but you should check whether the walk is circular (i.e. returning to the same point) or linear, in which case the walk will finish at another point where public transport is available but you may not be able to get back to the starting point.
We send out Walks Updates emails with the latest information about new and changed walks. You can sign up for our Walks Updates emails on our Walks Changes web page.
Sheffield Ramblers also support the Sheffield Visually Impaired Walking Group who offer a regular programme of led walks. For more see www.sviwg.co.uk, contact 0114 234 1217 or write to SVIWG c/o Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind, 5 Mappin Street, Sheffield S1 4DT.
Our Fixit team helps to repair and maintain local footpaths.
