Group name: Sheffield
This group is a part of South Yorks & N.E.Derbyshire Area.
Our activities include:
Practical path work
Sheffield Group has walks on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays plus easy 'Shorter Walks' on Thursdays and Saturdays. Except for coach rambles almost all use public transport and bus or train details are given in the description. People traveling by car are welcome to join the group at the start of the walk but you should check whether the walk is circular (i.e. returning to the same point) or linear, in which case the walk will finish at another point where public transport is available.
Please check our web site, http://www.sheffieldramblers.org, for up to date walk information. You can sign up to our Walks Updates emails on the Walks Changes page. The emails let you know about any changes to walks.
Sheffield Ramblers also support the Sheffield Visually Impaired Walking Group who offer a regular programme of led walks. For more see www.sviwg.co.uk, contact 0114 234 1217 or write to SVIWG c/o Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind, 5 Mappin Street, Sheffield S1 4DT.
