Welcome to Chase & District Ramblers page.
Based in Staffordshire, our membership is predominantly drawn from the Burntwood, Cannock, and Rugeley areas with a few coming from a little further afield. We cater for anyone who enjoys a good walk in the countryside with a programme suitable for all abilities graded from easy through to strenuous and ranging from anywhere between five and ten miles in distance.
Try us for free! Everyone is welcome and new walkers particularly so. If you're not already a Ramblers member you can come along three times before making up your mind to join officially.
Please note that no dogs (with the exception of guide dogs) are permitted on our walks out of respect to landowners and their livestock.
Chase & District Group offer a friendly and inclusive walking experience via an enthusiastic pool of volunteers delivering Sunday walks usually within a 50-mile drive away.
Staffordshire, Derbyshire, and Shropshire are all popular destinations, although we’re not limited to these places by any means.
Our Spring & Autumn Walking Weekends, plus the odd coach ramble, add UK-wide variety whilst occasional short midweek local walks complement our main programme.
As a very sociable group most of us finish our day out with a visit to the local pub or café. However, neither generally feature during our walks unless specified. We organise other social events (meals, quizzes, etc.) throughout the year.
